The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Nov. 26, edition that Scotia Capital analyst Ovais Habib has reiterated his "sector perform" recommendation for First Majestic Silver. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Habib trimmed his share target to $12 (U.S.) from $13 (U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $20.20 (Canadian). Mr. Habib shaved his share target following First Majestic's release of a technical report on its Santa Elena Silver/Gold Mine in Sonora, Mexico, on Wednesday. Mr. Habib says in a note: "Overall we view the Santa Elena update as mixed; the inclusion of Ermitano ore boosts overall grade profile although is offset by higher costs. We note however that further upside could be realized at the project in the future through ongoing resource conversion." The Globe's guest columnist Brian Donovan recommended buying First Majestic in the Number Cruncher column on March 9. Mr. Donovan said First Majestic was trading at a price that reflected good value. It was then worth $19.57 (Canadian). The Globe reported on July 28 that BMO analysts rated First Majestic "sector perform." The shares could then be had for $16.76 (Canadian).
