The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Jan. 30, edition that Barclays analyst Ian Rossouw has reaffirmed his "underweight" recommendation for First Quantum Minerals. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Rossouw cut his share target by a loonie to $11. Analysts on average target the shares at $16.91. Mr. Rossouw says in a note: "We estimate B/S liquidity is manageable through 2024 assuming new secured debt issuance and refinancing. However, in the absence of these, liquidity falls short in H2-24, highlighting urgency to address maturities and/or raise more debt/equity/asset sales." The Globe reported on Nov. 30 and Jan. 18 that National Bank analyst Shane Nagle had reaffirmed his "sector perform" recommendation for First Quantum Minerals. The shares were then worth $11.11 and $12.66. The Globe reported on Jan. 11 that Citi analyst Alexander Hacking had reaffirmed his "neutral" recommendation for First Quantum Minerals. The shares could then be had for $12.54. The Globe reported on Jan. 17 that BMO Capital Markets analyst Jackie Przybylowski had reaffirmed her "outperform" recommendation for First Quantum Minerals. The shares could then be had for $13.57.
