The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, June 5, edition that Daniel Magder, an analyst at Raymond James, began coverage of Faraday Copper with an "outperform" rating on Friday. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Magder argues that the structural demand for the metal supports its long-term price outlook. Emphasizing "scarcity of new discoveries increases the strategic value of existing assets," he set a target of $7.50. Analysts on average target the shares at $6.42. Mr. Magder says in a note: "Faraday benefits from a strong strategic shareholder base, including the Lundin Group and BHP. We expect BHP's ownership interest to increase to 32 per cent following the anticipated closing of the proposed San Manuel property acquisition by the end of 3Q26. In our view, the Lundin Group brings a well-established track record of value creation through exploration success and mine development, while BHP's involvement adds meaningful technical, operational and financial credibility. We believe this shareholder support improves the company's access to capital, helps derisk project development and execution, and enhances the potential for strategic outcomes, including partnerships, joint ventures or potential consolidation."
