FISSION URANIUM PROVIDES UPDATE ON FINAL ORDER HEARING FOR PLAN OF ARRANGEMENT
The hearing for the final order approving Fission Uranium Corp.'s previously announced plan of arrangement with Paladin Energy Ltd. began before the Supreme Court of British Columbia on Sept. 13, 2024, and will continue on Sept. 26, 2024.
CGN Mining Company Ltd., a subsidiary of China General Nuclear Power Corp., is opposing the final order and approval of the arrangement. To the knowledge of the company, CGN holds a disclosed equity interest of approximately 11.26 per cent of the outstanding common shares of the company. Fission's shareholders voted in favour of the arrangement at the company's special meeting held on Sept. 9, 2024.
