The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corp.'s 5.20 per cent convertible unsecured subordinated debentures (symbol FC.DB.G) will be halted at the open on Jan. 2, 2024, and will be delisted at the close on the same day. According to the TSX, the debentures have a maturity date of Dec. 31, 2023. As Dec. 31, 2023, is a Sunday and Jan. 1, 2024, is a statutory holiday in Canada, Jan. 2, 2024, has been set as the delisting date.

The TSX reports that the company will pay $1,026 per $1,000 principal amount of debentures, representing $1,000 principal amount and $26 for accrued and unpaid interest thereon to, but excluding, the maturity date. As the debentures are held through the CDS book-entry-only system, debentureholders need not take any action in order to receive the payment on maturity.

According to the TSX, debentureholders have until 5 p.m. Toronto time on Dec. 31, 2023, to convert the debentures into common shares of the company at $15.25 per share. This conversion price represents a conversion rate of approximately 65.5738 shares per $1,000 principal amount of debentures. Trades in the debentures on Dec. 28, 2023, and Dec. 29, 2023, will settle on Dec. 29, 2023.
