The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Nov. 11, edition that RBC Capital analyst Maurice Choy continues to rate Emera "outperform." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Choy gave his share target a $6 boost to $76. Analysts on average target the shares at $68.65. Mr. Choy says in a note: "We like that the updated five-year capex plan reinforces many positive themes relating to Emera's stock, including its solid 7- to 8-per-cent rate base CAGR that is underpinned by investments in the favourable Florida jurisdiction. Importantly, we anticipate investors will keep a close eye on the ongoing NSPI rate case to ensure that there is no repeat of the events in 2022, and that lessons have been learned by all parties involved. As the market looks beyond this rate case and the NMGC sale process, Emera stock attractiveness should become even more apparent." The Globe reported on Feb. 25 Mr. Choy had reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Emera. The shares could then be had for $57.28. The Globe reported on Oct. 7 that Scotia Capital analyst Robert Hope continued to rate Emera "sector outperform." The shares could then be had for $67.05.
