The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Oct. 5, edition that RBC Capital Markets analyst Keith Mackey is sticking with his "outperform" recommendation for Enerflex. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Mackey cut his share target by a loonie to $14. Analysts on average target the shares at $12.92. Mr. Mackey tweaked his share target after holding an investor update with chief executive officer Marc Rossiter to discuss Monday's departure of chief financial officer Rodney Gray. Mr. Mackey says in a note: "We think Monday's negative 27-per-cent stock price reaction was likely punitive, given the CFO departure was not related to the company's financial statement integrity, as noted on the call. We continue to believe that the positive business momentum, coupled with discounted valuation provide attractive potential returns. The payoff requires patience as Exterran integration and related near-term cash outlay will delay increased shareholder returns." The Globe reported on March 7 that Mr. Mackey had elevated his recommendation for Enerflex to "outperform" from "sector perform." The shares could then be had for $9.25.
