The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that Element Fleet Management Corp.'s 6.60 per cent cumulative five-year rate reset preferred shares, Series A (symbol EFN.PR.A), will be halted at the open and delisted at the close on Jan. 2, 2024. According to the TSX, the company will redeem the Series A shares on Dec. 31, 2023. As Dec. 31, 2023, is a Sunday and Jan. 1, 2023, is a public holiday, the redemption price will be paid to Series A shareholders on Jan. 2, 2023.

The TSX reports that the company will pay $25 per Series A share at redemption. Separately from the redemption price, the final dividend of 43.33125 cents per Series A share will be paid in the usual manner on Dec. 29, 2023, to shareholders of record on Dec. 15, 2023. As the Series A shares are held through the non-certificated inventory system of CDS and no individual certificates are issued, Series A shareholders need not take any action with respect to the redemption.
