The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Sept. 29, edition that CIBC World Markets analyst Nik Priebe is keeping his "neutral" call on ECN Capital intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Priebe gave his share target a 25-cent trim to $2.75. Analysts on average target the shares at $3.21. Mr. Priebe tweaked his share target after resuming coverage following Skyline Champion's $185-million equity investment. Mr. Priebe says in a note: "We interpreted the new partnership to be a net positive to ECN shareholders, along with a constructive update on the expansion of funding relationships. We continue to rate the stock 'neutral' as we await more convincing signs that a natural demand recovery is materializing in ECN's core markets, but acknowledge that there is a lot of torque to the upside." The Globe reported on July 26 that Mr. Priebe had reaffirmed his "neutral" recommendation for ECN Capital when it could be had for $2.66. The Globe reported on Aug. 16 that Raymond James analyst Stephen Boland had elevated his recommendation for ECN Capital to "outperform" from "market perform." The shares could then be had for $2.59.
