Ecolomondo nears Hawkesbury milling line installation

2025-03-03 20:33 ET - News Release

Mr. Jean-Francois Labbe reports

ECOLOMONDO UPDATES ON THE INSTALLATION OF ITS NEW MILLING LINE

Ecolomondo Corp. is nearing the completion of installation of its new milling line at its Hawkesbury thermal decomposition technology facility.

Ecolomondo projects the installation of the new milling line to be completed by the third week of March, 2025, with testing, start-up and commissioning being planned for the following week, with the help of on-site support from the equipment manufacturer.

Once the initial commissioning is proved to be successful, the company projects to begin production trials of the new milling line and recovered carbon black manufactured at the plant in April, 2025.

Once commissioned, this new milling line will be automated using HMI technology and expected to have a capacity to process 2,200 pounds per hour of recovered carbon black with a particle size distribution of 90 per cent between 10 and 15 microns, specifications required by most of the Hawkesbury plant's rCB offtake customers. The processing capacity of the new milling line is expected to handle more than the production capacity of rCB produced at the Hawkesbury plant.

"It has been a long road since Hawkesbury's groundbreaking in August, 2019, and many challenges were encountered and had to be resolved along the way. I believe that the successful commissioning of this new milling line will be transformational for the company," said Jean-Francois Labbe, interim chief executive officer of the company
