DESCARTES ACQUIRES EXTENSIV

The Descartes Systems Group Inc. has acquired Extensiv, a leading provider of warehouse management and fulfilment solutions for third party logistics providers (3PLs) and the brands they serve.

The acquisition extends Descartes' warehouse and inventory management capabilities while deepening its reach into the 3PL (third partly logistics) and e-commerce fulfilment market. Extensiv helps 3PLs better manage inventory, orders, B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) fulfilment, and billing across a connected network of sales channels, e-commerce platforms, on-line marketplaces and carriers. That breadth generates a rich set of omnichannel fulfilment data to fuel AI (artificial intelligence) capabilities for warehouse operators and their customers alike. Extensiv's AI capabilities enable users to quickly access insights, improve decision-making and reduce manual effort.

Extensiv is headquartered in California. Descartes acquired Extensiv for approximately $120-million (U.S.), satisfied from cash on hand. This further investment into solutions for the logistics services provider community follows Descartes' announced acquisition of Tai on Aug. 24, 2026, a business that provides AI-powered transportation management solutions for freight brokers.
