The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Dec. 2, edition that RBC Dominion Securities analyst Paul Treiber continues to rate Descartes Systems Group "outperform." The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Treiber continues to target the shares at $126 (U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $117.67 (U.S.). Mr. Treiber says in a note: "Despite the challenging freight environment, we expect Descartes's Q3 adj. EBITDA to increase 15 per cent year-over-year, at the high-end of its long-term target (10-15 per cent) and in line with consensus. We believe organic growth is likely sequentially stable, as Descartes's continued market share gains offset slower freight volumes. We see attractive risk-reward on the shares, as valuation is now at a five-year low, while we anticipate Descartes to continue to compound capital through acquisitions and organic growth. ... Valuation at a five-year trough improves risk-reward on the stock. Given investor concerns regarding the freight environment and 'AI disruption' of software, Descartes is trading at 20 times NTM [next 12-month] EV/EBITDA, which is at the low-end of its five-year historical range (20-36 times) and below peers (22 times). We believe valuation is attractive."
