The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, April 3, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Chris Li is keeping his "buy" recommendation and $107 share target for Dollarama intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes that analysts on average target the shares at $105.09. Mr. Li says expectations are for slowing growth at Dollarama when it reports fourth quarter 2024 results on Thursday. He believes the Street's attention will centre on the company's 2025 outlook. Mr. Li says in a note: "We and consensus expect FY25 EPS growth to slow to 12 per cent from more than 25 per cent in the past two years as market conditions normalize and Dollarama laps outsized double-digit SSSG [same-store sales growth. While Dollarama's premium valuation in a slowing growth environment poses some near-term risk, our positive long-term view is based on structural industry tailwinds and the strength/resilience of Dollarama's business model across all economic cycles." For the quarter, Mr. Li is projecting adjusted earnings per share of $1.05, matching consensus expectations. That comes off sales growth of 5 per cent, which is narrowly lower than the Street's 5.5-per-cent estimate and down from 15.9 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2023.
