Mr. Andre Tessier reports

DELTA ACQUIRES EIGHT ADDITIONAL CLAIMS NEAR ITS DELTA-1 PROPERTY IN THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO

Delta Resources Ltd. has acquired eight additional claims near its Delta-1 property in Thunder Bay, Ont.

Delta will issue 80,000 shares to earn a 100-per-cent interest in the claims. The vendor retains a 2-per-cent net smelter return royalty, of which Delta can elect to buy back 1 per cent at any time for the sum of $1-million.

With this agreement, Delta adds an additional 177 hectares to its 58.3-square-kilometre property in the Shebandowan greenstone belt.

The transaction is subject to Toronto Stock Exchange approval.

The Delta-1 property is located in the Shebandowan greenstone belt and covers a 17-kilometre strike extent of the Shebandowan structural zone.

About Delta Resources Ltd.

Delta Resources is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on growing shareholder value through the exploration of two very high-potential gold and base metal projects in Canada:

  • Delta-1 covers 58.3 square kilometres, located 50 kilometres west of Thunder Bay, Ont., where a gold-mineralized zone 1,500 metres long was outlined through drilling in a multikilometre-scale intense alteration halo. Best grades to date include a drill intercept of 14.8 grams per tonne gold over 11.9 metres, within a broader interval of 5.92 grams per tonne gold over 31 metres. The zone is open in all directions.
  • Delta-2 VMS and Delta-2 Gold cover 194 square kilometres in the prolific Chibougamau district of Quebec. The property holds excellent potential for gold-rich polymetallic VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide) deposits as well as hydrothermal gold deposits. Delta targets VMS deposits such as the LeMoine past producer, where 760,000 tonnes were mined between 1975 and 1983, grading 9.6 per cent zinc, 4.2 per cent copper, 4.5 grams per tonne gold and 84 grams per tonne silver.

We seek Safe Harbor.
