Mr. Ed Kruchkowski reports
TREASURE MOUNTAIN EXPLORATION INDICATES POTENTIAL 1.2KM STRIKE
FOR NOBODY KNOWS MINERALIZATION.
Decade Resources Ltd. has received assay
values for surface samples from the Treasure Mountain-Nobody Knows-Terrace gold
projects in the Terrace, B.C., area. The project stretches from 10 to 40 air kilometres east
of Terrace, B.C., on the northern slopes of the Copper River valley. The project consists
of 48 contiguous minerals claims totalling 17,470 hectares which form the Treasure
Mountain, Nobody Knows, Dardanelle (presently farmed out) and Treasure Mountain
properties. All 48 mineral claims are 100 per cent owned by Decade Resources Ltd.
The 2023 sampling concentrated on the Nobody Knows No. 2 showing area as well as the
original Nobody Knows showing. The latter showing was first sampled by the B.C.
Ministry of Mines during regional geochemical sampling. In 2018, grab sampling by the
company obtained 3.8 per cent copper from a five-metre zone of red volcanics that were between
sheared rocks on the east edge and basalt with amygdules carrying quartz-calcite and
sparse copper minerals on the west. Work in this period identified a possible northwest-trending zone that was 1.8 kilometres in strike. Overall width of the copper-bearing zone was in
excess of seven m.
During 2023, follow-up work was conducted on the area to locate the source of sample
A22-240 which assayed 41.2 per cent copper and 220 grams per tonne silver. All samples from the area of
A-22-240 were from float rocks. Samples from the original showing and malachite
stained rocks halfway between the two showings were from bedrock. Highlights of 2023
sampling are shown herein.
The Treasure Mountain-Nobody Knows properties have a great potential to host
copper-silver deposits and/or copper-gold-bearing stockworks. At present there are over
14 known copper-bearing areas. They feature numerous individual copper occurrences
of which only part have been examined in the 2022 exploration program. The main
copper occurrences appear to be associated either with basalt or its subvolcanic
equivalent (diabase). Other copper occurrences are related to faults and fracture zones.
Almost all showings in this area have a similar mineralogy (mostly bornite and
chalcocite) and geochemical signature (copper-silver) which suggest the same source
of mineralization.
Subsequent to the grab sampling, the company located the area source of the float
rocks by hand trenching along the logging road ditch line.
Assays on the above samples have been completed by ALS Labs in Vancouver, B.C.
Ed Kruchkowski, PGeo, a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101, is in
charge of the exploration programs on behalf of the company and is responsible for the
contents of this release. Mr. Kruchkowski is not independent of Decade as he is the
president of the company.
