The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Sept. 4, edition that Raymond James analyst Judith Elliot, in response to a "mixed" earnings season in Canada's mining sector, updated her valuations and target prices for many companies in her coverage universe. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Ms. Elliot says in a note: "In the senior golds, we continue to prefer AEM for its stable near-term production profile, organic pipeline with longer-term production growth upside (20-30 per cent by the early 2030s), lower jurisdictional risk exposure, and continued commitment to shareholders returns. In the intermediate gold names under coverage, we highlight OGC for its improving operations in 2H26 driving significant FCF generation, ongoing advancement of internal growth projects, and commitment to shareholder returns. In the base metal producers, we continue to prefer HBM with near-term copper growth, and a development pipeline that supports medium-term production upside without significant upfront development capex allowing for strong FCF generation." Ms. Elliott continues to rate Capstone Copper "outperform." She elevated her share target to $19 from $18.50. Analysts on average target the shares at $18.54.
