The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Sept. 19, edition that RBC Capital analyst Greg Pardy continues to rate Canadian Natural Resources "outperform." The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Pardy's share target soared ahead by $8 to $90. Analysts on average target the shares at $92.30. Mr. Pardy jacked up his share target after hosting recent institutional meetings with Canadian Natural Resources president Tim McKay. Mr. Pardy says in a note: "Our bullish stance toward Canadian Natural Resources reflects its strong leadership team, shareholder alignment, long life-low decline portfolio, abundant free cash flow generation, robust balance sheet and best-in-class operating performance. Canadian Natural is our favorite senior producer and is on both our Global Energy Best Ideas and Top 30 Global Ideas lists." Mr. Pardy says he boosted his share target "given the potential for accelerating shareholder returns." The Globe reported on April 4 that Canadian Natural remained on RBC Capital's list of "high-conviction, long-term ideas." Mr. Pardy continued to rate Canadian Natural "outperform." In the item he said the company had "superior free cash flow generative power." The shares could then be had for $79.44.
