CANACOL ENERGY LTD. ANNOUNCES AMENDMENT OF EX-DIVIDEND DATE FOR THE SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 DIVIDEND

On Sept. 16, 2021, Canacol Energy Ltd. declared a dividend of 5.2 cents per share, payable on Oct. 15, 2021, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Sept. 30, 2021, with an ex dividend date of Sept. 29, 2021. Given the observance of Canada's new statutory holiday on Sept. 30, this day will be considered a non-settlement day, and, as such, the TSX requires the ex dividend date on dividends with a Sept. 30, 2021, record date to be Sept. 28, 2021, hence this amendment.
