C-Com Satellite receives $2.65M (U.S.) in antenna order

2022-05-10 10:24 ET - News Release

Mr. Leslie Klein reports

C-COM RECEIVES $2.65 MILLION USD ANTENNA ORDER

C-Com Satellite Systems Inc. has received a multimillion-United-States-dollar order for its iNetVu 1200 Vehicle Mount antenna systems from one of its resellers.

The first group of these antenna systems have already been delivered, with the balance scheduled to ship in the second and third quarters of C-Com's 2022 fiscal year.

This significant purchase of the iNetVu 1200 Vehicle Mount marks one of the largest orders the company has received for this specific system. The three-axis, fully motorized auto pointing antenna system designed to be mounted on the roof of vehicles or transportable structures, is one of the best-selling C-Com manufactured products. There are several thousands iNetVu 1200's deployed globally -- from the most northern parts of Canada to the deserts of Africa and Australia for use in disaster management, oil and gas exploration, emergency services, military, mobile banking, and in many other vertical markets.

This fully automatic antenna can be transported on a vehicle or a trailer to any location where no connectivity exists and with a press of a button the antenna can locate the desired satellite and deliver broadband Internet connectivity.

"This significant order from a global leader in satellite communications, is a testimony to the quality and reliability as well as the world-wide acceptance of the iNetVu series of antennas," said Leslie Klein, president and chief executive officer of C-Com. "The ability for C-Com to rapidly deliver a large number of antennas, despite worldwide supply chain issues, is validated by large orders like these," Mr. Klein continued.

"The company continues to innovate and modernize the mobile SATCOM business by offering the highest quality, cost-effective and most reliable products coupled with fast delivery and first-rate customer support," Mr. Klein added.

C-Com offers classic and next-generation Driveaway, Flyaway, Fixed Motorized and Manpack systems for any vertical market where communications are limited or challenging due to disruption or deficiency. The company's products are integrated with all major modem manufacturers and approved world wide with most major satellite operators. The company works closely with more than 600 active resellers/integrators in over 100 countries.

C-Com is also collaborating with a renowned research team at the University of Waterloo on the development of an electronically steerable, Ka-band flat panel antenna system that is based on a patented phased array beam forming technology. This system has the potential to revolutionize satellite addressable mobility markets (land, air, maritime).
