The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Aug. 9, edition that BMO Capital analyst Fadi Chamoun has an unchanged "outperform" recommendation on Chorus Aviation. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Chamoun lowered his share target to $4.75 from $5.35. Analysts on average target the shares at $4.07. Mr. Chamoun says in a note: "Q2/23 results were generally in line with our expectations, and management reaffirmed its guidance for F2023. The stock came under pressure, however, as Chorus announced another delay in the launch of Fund III, which is viewed as an important growth catalyst for the company. While the transition to an asset light model and underlying growth may be tracking somewhat behind expectations, we continue to believe that this strategic direction makes sense for Chorus and should prove positive for growth and valuation." The Globe reported on Nov. 12 that Canaccord Genuity analyst Matthew Lee had reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Chorus. The shares were then going for $3.09. The Globe reported on March 4 that Mr. Lee warned Chorus's "transition to asset-light model will take time to come to fruition." He cut his rating to "hold." It was then worth $3.20.
