The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Nov. 3, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Jerome Dubreuil has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Cogeco Communications. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Dubreuil gave his share target a $4 trim to $73. Mr. Dubreuil says in a note: "Cogeco Communications appears to be strongly considering the launch of a wireless service in Canada, the U.S. or both. The company is accelerating its investments in the venture and is now committing significant capital in preparation for a potential launch. We are currently in the camp that believes IRRs on wireless resale are low on a risk-adjusted basis. We maintain our 'buy' recommendation given the value of the cable assets but highlight the medium-term capital allocation risk." The Globe reported on April 18 that Mr. Dubreuil had reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Cogeco Communications. The shares could then be had for $66.05. The Globe reported on Oct. 20 that CIBC analyst Stephanie Price rated Cogeco "neutral." It was then worth $57.19. The Globe reported on Oct. 27 that National Bank analyst Adam Shine had reiterated his "sector perform" recommendation for Cogeco, which was then worth $55.56.
