The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, April 5, edition that RBC Capital analyst Doug Miehm is sticking with his "sector perform" recommendation for Bausch Health Companies. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Miehm increased his share target to $12 from $9 (all figures U.S. unless otherwise stated). Analysts on average target the shares at $10.33. Mr. Miehm says in a note: "In the coming days/weeks, we expect the highly anticipated Xifaxan patent litigation ruling by the appellate court. The decision is likely to inform and influence Bausch Health's ability to pursue a Bausch + Lomb distribution, and as such it could unlock material value for Bausch Health and Bausch + Lomb shareholders. While there are other factors to be considered prior to a distribution, we believe a favourable ruling in the Xifaxan patent litigation would likely position Bausch Health to pursue a distribution and lead to higher share prices. Based on our work, we see 76-per-cent probability that Bausch Health is able to pursue a distribution." The Globe reported on May 6, 2023, that Mr. Miehm was sticking with his "sector perform" call on Bausch Health. It was then worth $8 (Canadian).
