The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday edition that National Bank analyst Maxim Sytchev has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Bird Construction. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Sytchev advanced his share target by $2.50 to $15. Mr. Sytchev says he sees "more risks on the horizon" for industrial products companies heading into 2024 as the "consensus has shifted its view from a recession at the start of 2023 to a greater acceptance of a soft landing. We see political risks shifting to the right of the spectrum, potentially impacting sentiment of infra-friendly names. We are staying sharp and nimble, although it's hard to advocate for material trimming at the moment." The Globe reported on March 10 that Mr. Sytchev continued to rank Bird Construction "outperform." The shares could then be had for $9.30. The Globe reported on Sept. 13 that Stifel continued to rate Bird Construction "buy." It was then worth $10.78. The Globe reported on Dec. 14 that ATB Capital Markets analyst Chris Murray had reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Bird Construction. The shares were then going for $14.27.
