The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, April 26, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Benoit Poirier is sticking with his "buy" recommendation for Bombardier. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Poirier boosted his share target by $5 to $101. Analysts on average target the Class B shares at $77.67. Mr. Poirier says Bombardier's current share price level provides "an interesting entry point for long-term investors." He says in a note: "Overall, we view the results as positive given the stronger-than-expected bookings in the quarter and management's positive commentary on the environment as well as the balance of the year. At next week's investor day, we do not expect any changes/ surprises in Bombardier's existing 2025 targets as discussions will most likely centre on capital deployment and the growth opportunities for the company's aftermarket, defence and certified preowned businesses." The Globe reported on Jan. 11 that Mr. Poirier had reiterated his "buy" call for Bombardier when it was going for $55.03. The Globe reported on April 11 that Scotia Capital analyst Konark Gupta continued to rate Bombardier "sector outperform." The shares could then be had for $59.58.
