The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Jan. 7, edition that CIBC World Markets analyst Todd Coupland has reaffirmed his "outperformer" recommendation for BlackBerry. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Coupland gave his share target a $2.30 boost to $6 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $3.89. Mr. Coupland says in a note: "Blackberry is recommended following a year of good C-suite decisions that have set the company up for double-digit revenue growth and positive EBITDA in F2026. Upcoming catalysts include: 1) an updated F2026 guide excluding Cylance during the FQ4 report; 2) possibly an NCIB; 3) further Cyber divestitures; and 4) a rerate on profitable growth trends within the SC and QNX units." The Globe reported on Dec. 18 that RBC Dominion Securities analyst Paul Treiber was maintaining his "sector perform" recommendation for BlackBerry. The shares could then be had for $3.01.
