BLACKWATER PROJECT -- REMOVAL OF NON-ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL -- WILDFIRE RESPONSE
Artemis Gold Inc. has responded to a wildfire evacuation order issued across a region that includes its Blackwater mine. The company has pro-actively removed all non-essential staff and contractors from the mine site as of July 21, 2024. The company has taken the necessary precautions to safeguard the asset, and essential staff remain on site. All staff and contractor personnel are safe, and the company expects to resume full-scale construction activities within the short term.
Artemis Gold chief executive officer Steven Dean stated: "The safety and well-being of our employees and contractors is always our top priority. Meanwhile, we are supporting our project team in planning our prompt return to full-scale construction as soon as it is safe to do so. We will provide further updates as necessary."
