The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Jan. 23, edition that Laurentian Bank Securities analyst Gaurav Mathur has elevated his recommendation for Automotive Properties REIT to "buy" from "hold." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Mathur continues to target the units at $12.50. Analysts on average target the units at $12.20. Mr. Mathur says in a note: "The REIT has weathered the macroeconomic storm of 2023 as it remained selective on acquisitions and focused on building liquidity and keeping its powder dry for opportunities unfolding in 2024. We forecast 3.4-per-cent AFFO/unit growth (2023-2025 CAGR)." The Globe reported on March 21 that Desjardins Securities rated Automotive Properties "hold." The units could then be had for $11.55. The Globe reported on May 16 that Canaccord Genuity analyst Mark Rothschild rated Automotive Properties "buy," up from "hold." The units could then be had for $11.49. The Globe reported on Nov. 17 that BMO Capital Markets analyst Michael Markidis had reaffirmed his "market perform" recommendation for Automotive Properties. The units could then be had for $10.13.
