The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Nov. 16, edition that National Bank Financial analyst John Shao has reaffirmed his "sector perform" recommendation for Alithya Group. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Shao gave his share target a 75-cent trim to $2. Analysts on average target the shares at $3.28. Mr. Shao says in a note: "Alithya reported FQ2 results that were below our and the consensus estimates due to a challenging macro environment with customers reducing or delaying their IT spending. The softness on the top line was partially offset by the company's optimization and cost-reduction initiatives, driving its gross margin profile toward the right direction. While we believe the company is prepared for a rebound should the macro environment improve, it remains uncertain how long that recovery will take and when we will see growth rates reaccelerate." The Globe reported on Feb. 16 that Acumen Capital boosted Alithya Group to "buy" from "hold." It was then worth $2.28. The Globe reported on Sept. 6 that iA Capital rated Alithya Group "buy." It was then worth $2.37. The Globe reported on Oct. 27 that Desjardins rated Alithya Group "buy" when it was worth $1.93.
