The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Oct. 27, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Jerome Dubreuil has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Alithya Group. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Dubreuil gave his share target a 15-cent trim to $3.15. Analysts on average target the shares at $3.38. Mr. Dubreuil cut his forecasts for IT service providers to reflect higher interest rates and the downside risk for near-term estimates, acknowledging soaring interest in artificial intelligence is "showing promising signs of growth" but warning investors it is "not material yet." Mr. Dubreuil says in a note, "Our estimates are broadly in line with expectations but we expect questions on the company's ability to meet run-rate guidance at the end of the fiscal year in March amid challenges in the financial services vertical." The Globe reported on Feb. 16 that Acumen Capital analyst Jim Byrne had upgraded Alithya Group to "buy" from "hold." The shares could then be had for $2.28. The Globe reported on Sept. 6 that iA Capital analyst Neehal Upadhyaya rated Alithya Group "buy" in new coverage. The shares could then be had for $2.37.
