The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, June 23, edition that National Bank Financial analyst Don DeMarco has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Alamos Gold. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. DeMarco, however, gave his share target a $7 trim to $80. Analysts on average target the shares at $78.95. Mr. DeMarco says in a note: "Alamos provided an update across its Canadian operations: Island Gold District (IGD) remains on track while at Young-Davidson (YD) two seismic events last week impacted access to higher-grade stopes, and separately, storm-related power outages in May resulted in unplanned downtime. From this, consolidated Q2/26 production guidance was revised lower, with an update to FY26 consolidated production and cost guidance pending with release of Q2/26 financials. The company also messaged that the remaining 2026 legacy Argonaut gold hedges were eliminated with a modest balance remaining in 2027, and the company was active on its NCIB in May and expects to continue to be over the coming months." The Globe reported on Feb. 25 that Desjardins analyst Bryce Adams continued to rank Alamos Gold "buy." The shares could then be had for $68.40.
