The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, June 21, edition that Scotia Capital analyst Phil Hardie has reiterated his "sector perform" recommendation for AGF Management. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Hardie gave his share target a 50-cent trim to $8.75. Analysts on average target the shares at $9.07. Mr. Hardie says in a note: "Market conditions remain challenging in first half of 2023 given the macro uncertainties and market volatility. AGF's Q2/23 asset under management came in lower than expected largely from the market depreciation, however, we anticipate modest net sales for the quarter. SG&A will also likely be a focus given the earnings miss last quarter that was driven by higher-than-expected opex." The Globe reported on Nov. 1, 2022, and Feb. 24, 2023, that Scotia Capital analyst Phil Hardie had reiterated his "sector perform" call when AGF Management shares could be had for $6.37 and $9.32. The Globe reported on June 16 that CIBC World Markets analyst Nik Priebe had reaffirmed his "neutral" call for AGF Management. The shares could then be had for $7.54.
