The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Oct. 2, edition that ATB Cormark Capital Markets analyst Tim Monachello has reaffirmed his "sector perform" recommendation for Ag Growth International. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Monachello gave his share target a $7 trim to $11. Analysts on average target the shares at $23.56. Mr. Monachello says in a note: "In our view, the path forward for Ag Growth International to successfully refinance its $304-million of debt maturities by year-end 2027 is far from certain. The most optimistic scenarios we envision would avoid dilution but could lead to meaningful increases in Ag Growth's interest burden and divestitures of key cash-flow-generating assets (India for instance). The least optimistic scenarios lead to significant equity dilution. Given the high level of uncertainty and risk of dilution we reduce our price target from $18 to $11 and maintain our 'sector perform' rating. Given the uncertainty in Ag Growth's path forward we make no changes to our estimates at this time." The Globe reported on May 8 that Mr. Monachello had continued to rate Ag Growth "sector perform." The shares could then be had for $23.70.
