The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, May 1, edition that ATB Capital analyst Tim Monachello is sticking with his "outperform" recommendation for Ag Growth International. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Monachello, reacting to a first quarter miss and "weak" guidance, gave his share target a $4 trim to $81. Analysts on average target the shares at $82. Mr. Monachello says in a note: "While Ag Growth International's H1/24 results are expected to be impacted by shifting commercial project schedules and softness in U.S. farm activity, we believe Ag Growth continues to benefit from longer-term structural tailwinds including product transfers, operational excellence initiatives, and deleveraging that we believe underpin its long-term value proposition for investors. Still, Ag Growth shares could face pressure as investors weigh the implications of its weakened near-term outlook." The Globe reported on July 6, 2022, that Mr. Monachello had reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Ag Growth when it was worth $32.34. The Globe reported on Oct. 11, 2023, and April 11, 2024, that National Bank had reaffirmed its "outperform" call for Ag Growth. The shares could then be had for $53.32 and $61.16.
