The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, March 8, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Gary Ho is keeping his "buy" recommendation for Ag Growth International intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Ho gave his share target a $3 boost to $85. Analysts on average target the shares at $77.69. Mr. Ho tweaked his share ahead in response to stronger-than-anticipated 2024 guidance. Mr. Ho raised his earnings expectations for the next two years from Ag Growth International. Mr. Ho says in a note: "Ag Growth reported an in-line 4Q driven by robust 19.3-per-cent margin, offset by softer revenue. Management introduced better-than-expected 2024 guidance (vs consensus) of $310-million-plus, with sustained margin at 10 per cent; based on the last two years' track record, we believe there may be some conservatism built in. Solid deleveraging (expected leverage of 2.5 times) gives Ag Growth optionality to invest in organic growth, starting in India. ... Ag Growth is entering a new era with three key areas of focus -- profitable organic growth, operational excellence and balance sheet discipline."
