The Financial Post reports in its Tuesday edition that over the weekend, a service interruption affected the website of Flair Airlines. The Post's Denise Paglinawan writes that customers have been unable to book flights, which is especially problematic just days before the busy Easter weekend. Flair's website still remains down as of Monday. A message on the website states that it is experiencing a service interruption and to check back soon. Flair has not yet commented on the issue. The Globe reported on March 22 that Flair had cut over 600 flights from its spring schedule due to financial difficulties. However, Flair released a statement denying the report and calling it misleading. Chief executive officer Stephen Jones stated that The Globe article was incorrect in implying that the airline had made flight reductions due to financial struggles. In a statement to the Post Mr. Jones said, "This is simply false, and it is imperative to set the record straight and dispel these accusations." He added, "Let me be clear: Flair has not made any reductions to its schedule following the closure of Lynx Air." Mr. Jones said the changes to the flight schedule between March and May were published in August, 2023.
