The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Sept. 17, edition that TD Cowen analyst Steven Green is sticking with his "buy" call and $59 share target for Barrick Mining (all figures U.S.). The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that analysts on average target the shares at $50.33. Mr. Green says in a note: "Barrick offers an attractive combination of improving operational execution, strong FCF generation and near-term IPO catalysts. While the recent Fourmile transaction was completed at a discount to the asset's value in our view, it clears a key hurdle for the planned North American IPO and should accelerate Fourmile's development. We see meaningful valuation upside with a narrowing of Barrick's discount to peer." The Globe reported on July 15 that National Bank Financial analysts rated Barrick Mining "outperform." The shares could then be had for $35.92. The Globe reported on Aug. 26 that Canaccord Genuity analyst Carey MacRury had an unchanged "buy" call on Barrick Mining. The shares could then be had for $46.99.
