The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Oct. 7, edition that RBC Dominion Securities analyst Josh Wolfson has reiterated his "outperform" call on Barrick Gold. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Wolfson trimmed his share target to $33 from $34 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $33.61. Mr. Wolfson says in a note, "Improved production and costs are expected quarter-over-quarter, reflecting greater consistency in operations post major COVID-19 related impacts and an improvement at Pueblo Viejo, following 2Q maintenance." The Globe reported on March 2 that Raymond James analysts Brian MacArthur and Farooq Hamed rated Barrick shares "outperform," when they were worth $19. The Globe's Gordon Pape was bullish on Barrick on July 16. It was then worth $26.69. The Globe reported on July 30 that Canaccord analyst Carey MacRury continued to rate the shares "hold," which were then trading at $28.25. The Globe reported on Aug. 13 that Mr. MacRury boosted his rating to "buy." The shares could then be had for $27.14. The Globe reported on Sept. 12 that National Bank analyst Michael Parkin rated Barrick "outperform." The shares could then be had for $29.75.
