Arbor Metals plans phase 3 exploration at Jarnet

2025-05-12 12:46 ET - News Release

Mr. Mark Ferguson reports

ARBOR METALS ANNOUNCES PHASE 3 EXPLORATION PLANS FOR JARNET LITHIUM PROJECT

Arbor Metals Corp. is planning its phase 3 exploration program for its wholly owned Jarnet lithium project, located in the Corvette Lake lithium camp, Eeyou-Istchee Baie-James territory, Quebec. This exciting new phase of exploration will include a range of activities aimed at advancing the project to the next stage of development.

The initial stage of phase 3 will involve a tree bark survey to test for the presence of elements and metals identified as strategic by the Canadian Critical Minerals Strategy for transitioning toward a low-carbon economy. Jarnet project claims were initially identified for their lithium potential, but the procession of volcanic rocks, sediments and intrusion identified on the property allow for the consideration of other types of targets, such as rare earth elements, molybdenum, copper and cobalt.

This survey will be conducted by a three-man crew over a 10-day period, during which approximately 500 samples will be collected from areas where anomalous mineralization has previously been observed in soil sampling, surface sampling and down-hole drilling. The data gathered from this survey will provide crucial insights into areas of alteration and mineralization, which will be vital for further defining locations for diamond drilling.

"We are excited to begin phase 3 of the exploration program at Jarnet lithium project," said Mark Ferguson, president and chief executive officer of Arbor. "The tree bark survey is an innovative step forward in our exploration strategy, and the results will be instrumental in guiding our future drilling activities. We look forward to recommencing diamond drilling toward the end of May, with a focus on new targets at the Corvette Lake and Firebird claims. This fully funded and permitted drilling program represents a major milestone in our efforts to define the full lithium potential of the Jarnet project."

In addition to the tree bark survey, the company will recommence diamond drilling toward the end of May, 2025. The drilling program will focus on new targets, including the Corvette Lake and Firebird claims, both of which have shown promising signs of mineralization in prior exploration work. The program is fully financed and permitted, and Arbor Metals is committed to preferentially hiring local indigenous contractors as part of its ATI (advanced technical investigation) commitments.

The company will further refine its phase 3 exploration plans based on the pending results of the phase 2 exploration program, which are expected in the coming weeks. These results will provide additional critical data to guide the next stages of the exploration campaign, ensuring a targeted and efficient approach to evaluating the full potential of the Jarnet lithium project.

Both Corvette and Firebord claims are located respectively two kilometres and six kilometres south and southeast from the Corvette 13 pegmatite dike system covering the Poste Lemoyne pluton.

Arbor is committed to conducting all of its exploration activities with a strong focus on environmental responsibility. The company adheres to strict environmental guidelines and industry best practices to ensure minimal environmental impact throughout the exploration process. Additionally, Arbor is dedicated to working collaboratively with local indigenous groups and other stakeholders to ensure its exploration activities align with the values, needs and concerns of the communities in which it operates. The company values sustainable and responsible development and fosters positive, long-term relationships with its stakeholders.

Redemption of Corvette Lake Lithium Corp. preferred shares

A total of 50,000 preferred shares of Arbor Metals' subsidiary, Corvette Lake Lithium, have been redeemed in accordance with their terms and at the election of the holder. The preferred shares represent all of the outstanding share capital of Corvette Lake Lithium not already owned by the company.

The preferred shares were outstanding at the time of the acquisition of Corvette Lake Lithium by the company and were redeemable by the holder at a price of $100 per share in the event mineral exploration conducted on the Corvette Lake and St. Pierre properties demonstrated the existence of lithium mineralization. Assay results received by the company have now provided evidence of such mineralization, and the holder has elected to redeem. The company has satisfied the redemption price of the preferred shares in full, and Corvette Lake Lithium is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

About Arbor Metals Corp.

Arbor Metals is a mining exploration company focused on developing high-value, geographically significant mineral projects worldwide. Arbor is paving the way for advanced mineral exploration as it oversees world-class mining projects. The company is confident that combining quality projects with proven strategies and a dedicated team will yield exceptional outcomes.

The Jarnet, Corvette Lake and St. Pierre lithium projects, located in the James Bay region of Quebec, comprise 83 map-designated claims, covering an area of approximately 5,606 hectares. The projects are contiguous to the Corvette-FCI property, where diamond drilling has confirmed significant lithium mineralization representing one of the highest-profile lithium exploration projects in the sector.

The Kemlee Lake lithium project is strategically located three kilometres east of Rock Tech Lithium Inc.'s Aumacho claim blocks, and 12 kilometres south of the Georgia Lake project. The project shares many geological similarities with the prolific Georgia Lake deposit, including bedrock geology and the presence of massive intrusive dikes. The primary target at the project will be spodumene-bearing pegmatites hosted in metasediments.

We seek Safe Harbor.
