Abcourt Mines' gold production falls in July

2026-08-25 11:19 ET - News Release

Mr. Pascal Hamelin reports

UNDERGROUND DEVELOPMENT ACCELERATION AND STRATEGIC OPERATIONAL TRANSITION

Abcourt Mines Inc. has provided its operational results for the month of July, 2026, as well as the progress of the long-hole stopes to date. This update highlights the steady advancement of the mine development plan and the transition toward optimized mining methods, targeting higher-grade production and larger tonnage.

Operational review: July, 2026

The month of July was marked by a key technical transition phase. The noticeable increase in gold pours observed this month primarily reflects the cleanup of inventory accumulated in the processing circuits. Furthermore, the priority given to underground development temporarily impacted extracted grades, a situation expected to normalize as work reaches higher-grade production areas.

Development strategy, growth opportunities and upcoming targets

Abcourt's top priority remains gaining access to the highest-grade areas of the deposit, specifically those exceeding five grams per tonne. The attahced table details stope progress and the planned operational window for the coming months.

Moving toward higher production

The transition to the long-hole (LH) mining method is yielding conclusive results. The first stopes of this type began in July and are expected to be completed by mid-September. Preliminary August data confirms their efficiency, notably with the blasting of the first 1,055 tonnes in July at an unreconciled grade of 6.45 grams per tonne in the 295-DAC5 sector. These tonnes were milled at the beginning of August. Additional stopes will be developed in this zone, and the company expects to maintain production there through December, 2026.

"We are structuring our operations to maximize profitability on every ounce," stated Abcourt's management. "With the imminent entry into production of Zone 20 and the ongoing development of Zone 3, the mine is on a robust growth trajectory. Thanks to our sampling rigor and the continuous refinement of our LH mining procedures; we are exceptionally well positioned to increase yield starting at the end of the third quarter."

The company reiterates its commitment to transparency and sustainable value creation for all stakeholders, with the ongoing goal of maximizing project profitability.
