PARIS, Nov. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Aurélien Louis as a Senior Managing Director in the Transactions practice within the firm’s Corporate Finance segment. Mr. Louis, who is based in Paris, brings more than 16 years of mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”) experience advising private equity firms and corporate clients on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
In his role at FTI Consulting, Mr. Louis will provide expert support to clients throughout acquisition and divestment processes, with a focus on financial due diligence. He will help buyers and sellers assess quality of earnings, identify financial risks and value drivers, and make informed decisions throughout the deal process. He also has significant experience reviewing and supporting the drafting of transaction documentation, including share purchase agreements and asset purchase agreements, helping align financial findings with contractual terms.
“As transactions become more complex, clients in France are increasingly looking for agile and tailored support,” said Mustapha Labassi, a Senior Managing Director in the Corporate Finance segment at FTI Consulting. “Aurélien’s appointment strengthens our financial due diligence capabilities at a time when valuation pressure and closer scrutiny of deal fundamentals are making it essential for buyers and sellers to understand financial risks and value drivers. His experience advising private equity firms and corporate clients will help us meet these needs, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to build our transactions capabilities in France.”
Mr. Louis has led financial due diligence engagements on more than 150 transactions worldwide. His experience spans buy-and-build strategies, complex carve-outs, cross-border transactions, leveraged buyouts, asset deals, distressed M&A and refinancing processes. He has supported international investors making acquisitions in France and corporate clients pursuing acquisitions and divestments across Europe, the United States and Asia.
Mr. Louis has particular sector expertise in energy and infrastructure, software and digital services, retail and consumer products, and diversified industrial businesses. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he was a partner in Deloitte’s M&A Transaction Services practice in Paris. He also spent three years at Deloitte’s global headquarters in New York, where he led financial due diligence engagements, primarily in cross-border contexts.
“Buyers and sellers need a clear, integrated view of financial performance, operational potential and the contractual implications of due diligence findings,” said Diederick van der Plas, EMEA Co-Chairman and Head of EMEA Corporate Finance at FTI Consulting. “Aurélien’s extensive transaction experience and sector knowledge will strengthen our ability to support clients on complex domestic and cross-border deals.”
Mr. Louis added, “FTI Consulting’s international network and multidisciplinary capabilities provide a strong platform for helping clients navigate complex acquisitions and divestments. I look forward to working with Mustapha and colleagues across the firm to help buyers and sellers understand financial risks, identify value drivers and translate due diligence findings into informed decisions and terms.”
