Lundin says sell Ximen Mining

2015-04-17 21:12 ET - In the News

Brien Lundin, in the April, 2015, edition of the Gold Newsletter, says sell Ximen Mining Corp., recently 11.5 cents. Mr. Lundin said buy in May, 2014, at $1.07. Assuming a $1,000 investment for the buy, selling the position at 11.5 cents would yield a loss of $912. Mr. Lundin does not explain why he is selling Ximen, he just includes it in a list of stocks he will be dropping to focus on others with better prospects. Elsewhere in the newsletter, the editor says the futures market is turning very bullish, which bodes well for gold's near-term upside potential. According to a recent Commitments of Traders report he says, speculators are continuing to dump gold futures, and to a historic degree. Fellow writer and friend of Mr. Lundin, Tommy Humphreys, notes that 66,897 gold futures contracts amounting to almost $8-billion have been liquidated in the second and third weeks of March, the largest liquidation since gold was crushed in April, 2013. Although it is encouraging to see speculators dispose of their long positions Mr. Lundin adds, it is even better to see large commercial firms covering their shorts. Such a move typically marks a turning point for gold, and foreshadows a significant upward movement.
