MONTAN ANNOUNCES NEW CFO

Montan Mining Corp. has appointed Brandon Macdonald as the chief financial officer of the company, commencing immediately.

Mr. Macdonald is a finance and mining professional, experienced, as both a principal in junior mining companies and investment banker, in mineral resource assets from grassroots exploration projects through to producing mines and smelters. He has a BSc in geology from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from the University of Oxford. His previous experience includes time with Macquarie Bank in London, England, and most recently he has been an active board member and officer of, and consultant to, junior mining companies in Vancouver.

Ian Graham, chief executive officer of the company, said, "Brandon's experience and network in the world of commodity finance and trading will be invaluable to Montan during this critical phase of the company's development."

The company thanks Binny Jassal for his service to the company as interim chief financial officer since the passing of former CFO, Ryan Fletcher.
