MAPLE LEAF FOODS INC. ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF VOTE FOR ELECTION OF DIRECTORS

At Maple Leaf Foods Inc.'s annual meeting of shareholders on April 27, 2017, there were 492 shareholders voting in person and by proxy holding in total 104,892,689 voting common shares, being 80.49 per cent of the total number of voting common shares outstanding.

Each of the directors listed as nominees in the management proxy circular dated March 27, 2017, was elected director of the corporation until the next annual meeting.

The results of the vote for the election of directors are shown in the attached table.
