FP says Colman sees more upside at Input Capital

2014-07-29 08:22 ET - In the News

The Financial Post reports in its Tuesday edition that this year Input Capital ($2.55) has rallied 30 per cent, but more gains are in store for the small-cap agricultural streaming company over the next 12 months, says National Bank Financial analyst Greg Colman. The Post's David Pett writes in the Trading Desk column that Mr. Colman says, "We believe there is substantial running room, as INP has likely only begun to penetrate a market which we conservatively estimate could be in the order of $2.2-billion to $6.7-billion in potential streaming contracts." Mr. Colman commenced new coverage in July with an "outperform" rating and $4.50 target, representing an upside of 80 per cent from the stock's current price. Input, which provides farmers with upfront capital in return for a portion of their canola production, is most likely the world's first canola streaming company, notes Mr. Colman. However, unlike mining streaming contracts, which are relatively few in number, large in size and long in duration, "INP's canola-streaming contracts are numerous (23 already and growing rapidly), small in size (usually around $2-million initial outlay) and short in duration (six years typical length)," says Mr. Colman.
