GRANITE CREEK ANNOUNCES PROGRAM ON DARSALAM CONCESSION

Granite Creek Gold Ltd. has assembled a crew to complete initial geological work on the company's Darsalam project located in western Mali. The program will consist of a limited geochemical survey, geological mapping and sampling, and mapping of hand pits dug by local artisanal miners. The company has received and is reviewing historical data on the project, and the program will be designed to confirm trends identified in the data and to resolve targets for a follow-up drill program.

The existence and extent of artisanal workings are seen as important indicators of the potential for an area to host economic gold deposits in Mali. Extensive workings have been known to expose important geological structures and have become a key tool of exploration companies.

The program will commence upon the company receiving TSX Venture Exchange approval for the closing of the private placement announced March 3, 2014.
