The International Speculator, in its November, 2016, issue, upgrades First Majestic Silver Corp. (recently $11.32) to buy from hold, officially, "Buy on spec." This newsletter, and/or sister publication Big Gold, said buy eight times between Jan. 3, 2005, and Sept. 2, 2009, at prices ranging from $1.84 to $4.99. They then said sell some -- perhaps half -- on Dec. 1, 2009, at $3.62. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the eight buys, selling half of the $8,000 holding at $3.62 yielded a profit of $944. They then said buy eight more times between April 1, 2010, and Feb. 2, 2015, at prices ranging from $3.13 to $20.04. Assuming eight more investments of $1,000 each and taking into consideration the remaining $4,000 investment after the one-half sale at $3.62, the total $12,000 investment is worth $26,149. The upgrade comes without commentary.
