2016-09-30 11:31 ET - News Release

Mr. Graeme O'Neill reports

BAYHORSE SILVER ENGAGES MINERALS PROGRAM MANAGER, APPOINTS NEW CFO.

Todd Johnson, PE, MS (geology and geological engineering), has accepted the position of minerals program manager for Bayhorse Silver Inc.

Mr. Johnson has over 25 years of experience in mining, mineral exploration and geotechnical engineering ranging from grassroots exploration to mine development, mine permitting and production. Mr. Johnson has worked throughout the western United States, Western Canada, northern Mexico and Malaysia for several mining and engineering companies, including Veris Gold Corp., Newmont Mining Corp., Battle Mountain Gold, Hemlo Gold, Noranda Exploration and Amec.

He most recently assisted Geomin Resources Inc. with the September, 2016, resubmission of Tintina Montana Inc.'s mine operating permit application to the Montana Department of Environmental Quality for the Black Butte copper project. Before that, Mr. Johnson helped return the Jerritt Canyon gold mine in Nevada back into production for Veris Gold Corp. in 2009. Mr. Johnson also significantly contributed to the multimillion-ounce resource expansion and positive feasibility study for the Phoenix gold-copper-silver open-pit project in Battle Mountain, Nevada, from 1996 to 2001.

Mr. Johnson is a qualified person as defined by the National Instrument 43-101 guidelines. Mr. Johnson will be instrumental in managing the company's exploration and mine development activities at the Bridging the Gap silver-lead-zinc project in Idaho's Silver Valley and advancing the Bayhorse silver mine in Oregon toward production.

Bayhorse's chief executive officer, Graeme O'Neill, stated: "People make projects work. We are very pleased to have Todd and Rick bringing their considerable expertise to our team as we grow Bayhorse Silver and move forward with our projects."

Anike Li, the company's chief financial officer since 2014, has resigned her position to focus on other opportunities. She was a significant asset in her role as chief financial officer and ably assisted the company weather the recent downturn. The company's directors wish her well in her future endeavours.

Rick Low, CA, BComm, has been appointed by the directors as chief financial officer of the company. Mr. Low has over 20 years of progressive management experience in various industries in Canada and overseas. Mr. Low has over 10 years senior management experience, including as chief financial officer and board director, in the mining industry. He oversaw the finance and accounting function for a gold mining project during its progression from exploration, feasibility, construction and development through to commercial production.

Mr. Low has also participated in raising various debt and equity financings and applications for listing on stock exchanges. Mr. Low is a qualified chartered professional accountant (CA) with the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia and graduated with a BComm from the University of British Columbia.

Bayhorse Silver is earning a 75-per-cent interest in the past-producing Bridging the Gap project, consisting of Asarco's historic Crown Point, Silver King, Ranger, Wyoming, Curlew and Blackhawk silver-lead-zinc mines in Idaho's Silver Valley. Bayhorse is also earning an 80-per-cent interest in the historic Bayhorse silver mine in Oregon, USA.
