The Successful Investor, in its May, 2015, issue, refreshes its buy of Bombardier Inc., recently $2.70. The Investor said buy 20 times from August, 2000, to February, 2015, at prices ranging from $3.28 to $23. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each of the 20 buys, the $20,000 position would now be worth $10,173. Bombardier has received 243 firm orders for its new CSeries passenger jet. Assuming the exercise of all options for another 360 planes, the 603-plane total would be worth about $43-billion (U.S.), which is equal to 2.1 times the aircraft maker's 2014 revenues of $20.1-billion (U.S.). The company hopes to begin deliveries of the CSeries planes in early 2016 instead of its previous target of the second half of 2015; airlines need the extra time to train their pilots and mechanics to handle the new planes. Bombardier remains a buy.
