POET TECHNOLOGIES EXPRESSES ITS CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF DR. ADAM CHOWANIEC

Poet Technologies Inc. has learned with sadness of the death of its recent board member, Dr. Adam Chowaniec. The company only recently announced his resignation from the board of directors for personal health reasons on Feb. 10, 2015.

The board of directors wishes to extend its deepest condolences to Dr. Chowaniec's wife, Claudia, and their family. "Adam had a monumental career in the semiconductor industry, and he was extremely generous with his time and sage advice during the transformation of the company and the development of the Poet technology," said Peter Copetti, co-chairman and interim chief executive officer. Mr. Copetti added: "On behalf of the entire company and the directors, I would like to let Claudia and her family know that our thoughts and prayers are with them in their time of great loss. He will be sorely missed."
