GATEKEEPER RECEIVES SEPTA PURCHASE ORDER

Gatekeeper Systems Inc. has received a purchase order for approximately $1.5-million from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA) to supply and install video system solutions for SEPTA trains.

SEPTA is a regional public transportation authority that operates bus, rapid transit, commuter rail, light rail and electric trolley bus services for nearly four million people in Philadelphia, Pa. SEPTA is one of the largest transit authorities in the United States, providing over 300 million passenger rides annually on over 3,600 vehicles which includes approximately 970 trains.

Doug Dyment, chief executive officer, commented: "We are very pleased to be chosen by SEPTA to provide our ruggedized high-definition video system solution for their trains. SEPTA has rapidly embraced video evidence as protection against injury and damages claims, and during their 2016 fiscal year they reported a decrease in related liability of $33.8-million (U.S.). It's clear to us that the U.S. transit market represents significant opportunity for Gatekeeper, and SEPTA is an important cornerstone relationship for us in the U.S. transit market."
